I had the opportunity to take a tour of the construction site for the new East Side Access Project.  They are extending the LIRR into Grand Central.  Actually they are building a whole new concourse and four track terminal underneath GCT.  Pretty cool stuff down there.  Flash photos were not allowed, so I did the best I could under the circumstances.
